Lots Of Gil Making Strats (Final Fantasy yaoi)
Ok, so I have seen all these money making tutorials, and I was thinking I would make it easier for people to look through them by putting them all into 1 post, so here they are! *warning* long post! Please excuse me if I have spelt something wrong, such as a name
Class specific guides:
Black Mage:
Any black mage with 2 AE spells can make nice money in pal borough Mines outside bastok
I am a Level 26 black Mage (taru taru) with a lvl 7whm subclass so any other black mage should not have problems as i have the least amount of HP.
Plane: zone in: Bind the first quadav you see and run all the way to the elevator that takes you to the 3rd floor. Soon your bind should wear off (before you make it there) wait, and soon a train of 10-25 quadav should be coming around the corner, they shouldn’t damage you too much, 1dmg per hit on me mostly, they would critical for 4dmg though. I wait for them all to pile up, cast aeroaga and wateraga and watch them fall and the loot and Gil spam across my screen.
Each AEing I made about 3-4k gil in drops (Water crystals, spells, shields, back plates and gil) to up your profits even more id suggest levelling up thief as sub job for gil finder and treasure finder for even more drops. id do this and have plenty of hp and Mana to spare, head back to entrance and repeat just bind the first one etc etc. and they all respawn at the same time cause they were killed at the same time =)

Area Specific Guides:
Bastok
Pick Axes go for 3000-3500 Gil a stack at the AH (depending on server), and sell very quickly. Here’s a way to take advantage of the endless need of Pick Axes for miners.
Head to Bastok Port, and purchase Pick Axes from the Outfitters store. Pick axes sell for 150 gil/piece at the store. So by buying 12 Pick Axes here, then selling them as a stack at the AH will net you 1200 Gil!

Windurst
Here’s a great way to earn upwards of 20,000 gil per day. It’s pretty simple just takes some grinding……..head to Windurst and hunt Crawlers!
Crawlers drop silk thread (I’d say around 20% of the time), which commonly goes from 9000-13,000 gil/stack. Spending a good 2-3 hours hunting crawlers will result in a stack of thread, which will net you some serious cash at the AH.
Best place to find these guys is in West Sarutabaruta…..have fun. Be sure to combine this with the following strategy for even more cash on a daily basis……..

Windurst
This is a great way to make a nice amount of cash for when levelling as a newbie, or helps you get over the "levelling my new Special Job" blues!
Requirements:
1. Be able to melee, a casters down time makes hard, and sometimes dangerous!
2. Kill Goblins with ease, this will be our prey of choice
3. Get to Sarutabaruta(near Windurst)
Suggested:
1. Have signet for Windurst (collect Fire and Wind Crystals)
2. High weapon skills, since we are fighting easy to lvl and get items, your combats skills won’t go up very fast.
In West Sarutabaruta there is a Horotoru ruins in the NW corner of the map near Gid.
The ruin is packed with goblins that will rank easy to most players past level 5. The EXP is generally low, but the amount of guys makes up for that. Also you get NICE drops, AND LOTS OF THEM!
Goblins:
-Fire Crystals
-Wild Onions
-Spools of Grass Thread
-Bolt of Grass Cloth
-Spools of Cotton Thread
-Bolt of Cotton Cloth
Bat Bats:
-Wind Crystals
Blade Bats:
-Wind Crystals
You occasionally will gather Beastman Seals, various low LVL armour, and Bat Wings, drop these, since they don’t sell well, and take up space for things that do.
My newbie sister is playing on TITAN with me and has 50k from levelling from 6-10 here!
I tend to lose count since I’m a damn spend thrift

Bastok:
It stuns me that people have missed this quest. It’s probably the ONLY time you’ll make a consistent profit from questing…no matter what. Tell me, you say…surely. Buy a stack of 12 quus (food->fish). Go to Malene, at I-5, in Bastok Markets. She lost something to a monster at the lighthouse…which is in South Gustaberg (leave from the bastok mines zone and just go straight…you’ll see it). At the back, you’ll see a bush that you can target as a ???. Trade a quus to it, and you’ll spawn a unique monster called "Bubbling Bernie" He’s soloable at lvl11 for my galka warrior…so generally pretty easy (still gives good exp to the lvl11 too
). Kill him, get the steam clock he drops, and bring it back to Malene for your reward…500 gil. Incase you can’t do math…3 quus pays for the entire stack…so the other 9 gives you a profit of 4,500 gil. Talk about getting your fame for free, eh? The only problem with this quest is that it’s INTENSELY boring. A black mage has a much easier time, as does anyone with flee (mmmnnnn….lvl50 blm / lvl25 thf….drools) as you can just keep warping back to your HP at your moghouse. At lvl30 or so…maybe mid20s I could do a run every 6 minutes. 10 runs per hour means you end up making 3500 gil in an hour, with 2 more runs you could do without losing profit. Best quest to do, imo. I use the profits from this quest to fund other repeatables. The best thing about this quest is that the reward never changes…unlike the spell quests o.O I have noticed that it gives a bit less fame than most repeatables…as it took 2.5 stacks of quus to get enough fame to get warp o.o
——————————————————————————————
San d’Oria:
I’ve found the one to be the most painless is the rabbit hide quest…it took me about 3k investment to be able to finally get the fame required for drain….so I’d say that paid for itself. I’ll be maxing my sandy fame with the rabbit Hide quest using the profits from my Crab Crushing (title you get from doing the quest above). You can also do the Boyahda Moss quest listed in the "Perfect Fame in Jeuno for Free!" thread, but I’ve found that moss sells for way too high on my server >_<
——————————————————————————————-
Windurst:
Definately the bastore sardine quest. It’s more painful than other repeatables because you have to zone in and out all the time…but the other repeatables in windy require EX items for the most part. Just buy bastore sardines at the fishing store and turn them into the taru like 2 feet from you…zone and repeat. The alternatives are to farm yagudo bead necklaces and turn them in x4 at a time to Nanaa Mihgo in the Mithra Groves in Windurst Woods, turning in Corenettes to someone in windy…sorry I can’t be more specific than that. Another viable option is to buy Crawler Calculi off the AH…on my server, they *usually* go for 200 gil. Buy 3 for 600…turn them in for 600 to the Mithra above the dhalmel farm…and you break even. Better than nothing.

Windurst
Head over to the vendor in F6 in Windurst, name is Lebondur.
You can purchase Rock Salt from this fellow for 16 gil a pop. Buy 12 of them, and it only sets you back around 190 Gil. Good thing about this is stacks of Rock Salt routinely sell at the AH for 500-600 Gil.
Not extremely lucrative, but could help players new to FFXI desperate for some Gil. Combine these with some of the other quick Gil strategies and it can help jumpstart a new player to FFXI.

Windurst (north of giddeus)
Ok, I have been searching through many of these gill making strats and find them all cute but non-consistant, or, just plain not worth the time. Here is a good way to make gil.
Make sure your either kinda high lvl to breeze through, (30) makes it fast or, start a new class around windhurst region a.k.a. fort knox. Ok, just north of giddeus at around level 10 or so while you xp (cause you will anyways) go to the outer horouto ruiins. While you are there you will kill anything from goblin thugs to goblin weavers and the battue bats and blade bats.
Now, this place spawns creatures fast and goblins drop all of the above: wild onions, pieces of armor, cotten threads, grass threads, cotton cloths, grass cloths, and ambusers that are a little tougher can drop animal glue and other goodies. Ohh yes lets not forget the bats dropping bat wings. If you start to level a new class always do it in windhurst region or your just flat out not wanting gil or not knowing how much money you can make. Last couple ways to make gil in windhurst region are also easy when your low level just by xpin im telling you its insanely satisifying.
Ok everyone knows about crawlers yada yada yada… silk but also in giddeus and outside of giddeus the yhator birdmen drop yhator necklaces all the time if you didnt know ill let you know now. Do this cause youll be getting the crystals essential to do this anyway for free and raising your clothcraft for free as well. On the necklaces the birdmen drop use 1 wind crystal and synth it you will get 3 grass thread now, take the 3 threads and combine with a earth crystal and it will yield 1 grass cloth not bad when your getting all the essential items to make it free anyway while you level up.
Anyway inside giddeus the yhator prosecuters (samurai type) drop on occasion silver beastcoins as well. Anyway guyz, take all of what i said into account and you will realize your killing many many birds with one perverbial stone enjoy the strat and let me know what you think when youve done this i guarantee you’ll like the results.

Mines
Hello,
I read the strat on how to make 100k a day and i’d never do that.. the effort just to cheat around things is not worth it.. I won’t waste my entire day logging in / out and repeating quests.
This is no secret here, and it’s not amazing.. I’m just telling you it works..
Grab the mining gear.. grab a couple sets of axes.. and go mine in pals.
I am a lvl 50 paladin and I walk in their naked.. if your 35 -> 40 you should be able to do this too without agro.. just bring a sword if your melee.. you never know who you might want to save.
Yesterday in about 3 hours of mining (and we must removed atleast an hour for the time I stopped to help 3 people get their pals key) I struck about 7 mythril ores (1200 each on my server) and 2 platinum ores (50k each on my server).. and all I had was the mining gloves.. I sold them to buy the rest of the set and try again.
Hope this helps stop people from farming worthless crystals at higher levels =)

Windurst
Here is a very nice level 35+ gil farming place that most people would not even consider and it is never camped.
First of all i am a level 37 White mage with Black Mage subbed at 18 and it is rediculously easy for me.
Please do not give this information to anyone and do not post it anywhere else. I am not posting this anywhere else so if it gets out i will not post my next faq which will make 100X this one.
I will first start off with what spells you should cast on yourself to make this as easy as possible.
Protect 2 – Defence is always good
Shell 2 – Lots of magic casters where your about to go.
Aquaveil – You will be Aggroing 10-20 mobs on you and it will be hard to cast magic without.
Blink – This will take the first 2 shots.
Stoneskin – This will last quite awhile considering they only hit for 5-10 max.
Reraise – Better to be safe then sorry.
Blaze Spikes – Little extra damage is always nice
At this point you will be like a tank.
Now for what i like to call Gumps secret area
. Goto the northeastern horototo ruins and go all the way to the bottem past the blobs and baloons and beady beetles.
You will see about 5-10 goblins and a door to the left up the stairs. You can kill all these goblins for the hell of it or pass them completly. They will con to weak to be worthwhile
In this room you are about to enter there is about i would say 50-60 goblins that once killed spawn right away along with bats. There are Gamblers/Muggers/Leechers and god knows what else
and there is a ****load of them. They all will con to weak to be worthwhile so no aggro.
Now what i do is i kill a few of the guys and make sure they don’t all aggro me until i get 100 tp. I then make sure i have all the magic buffs stated above and then i aggro everything in the room by casting diaga.
Now you will have about 30-40 goblins on you that will hit you for 0 for about 35 seconds. Considering i soloed most of my white mage career my staff weapon skill is pretty high. After they are all hitting you i use the weapon skill "Earth Crusher"
which does 160 damage to all of them in sight. They will have about 65% Health now. Next i cast Banishga which does about 80 damage to all followed by stonega which does about 90 damage to all. At this point you just killed 30-40 goblins and a ****load of bats.
And you will laugh when you watch what sort of items you get. You will get a couple of magic scrolls worth anywhere from 100-1000. They also drop really nice armor. Leechers tend to drop Linen gear which sells for about 1400+. All the goblins will also drop 30-40 gil each
which adds up to a nice chunk of change. You will prolly make 1000 just off the gil drops alone not to mention the Wild onions which sell for 4000 a lot :0.
Now there is a better way to do this but you would need to be white mage level 40. Level up theif to 15-20 so you have treasure hunter and gil find. and sub that instead of black mage. But why level 40 white mage you ask? At level 40 you get Banishga 2 which will do 170+ damage to them all.
And considering you don’t have the BLM AoE spells it would be a little harder to do with just Banishga. With treasure hunter you basically tripple the drops and Gil hunter multiplies the amount of gil you find
These goblins spawn super fast and there is so many.
Also the goblins drop Horototo Treasure keys very often. I know where the treasure chests spawn and i will make a later post on the exact coords. These chests are good for about 900 gil each.
You will also end up killing alot of bats and they drop bat wings which sell for about 2-3000 a lot of my server.
Here is the facts to sum it all up.
1. Each Goblin drops 30-40 Gil "Without Gil Finder" And they drop some wild Onions and Linen Gear.
Wild Onions sell for 400 a peice on my server and Linen Gear 1400+. You will also obtain goblin armor and things like that which sell for a decent amount and very fast.
Its not uncommon for the mages to drop Grass Cloths, Grass Threads, Cotten Cloths, Cotten Threads either which sell for a nice ammount.
2. The Bats drop Bat Wings which sell for a damn good ammount to.
3. Alot of Horototo Key drops will get you about 900 gil each.
After doing this about 1 time you should make at least 20,000 gil.
Have fun and keep it a secret

Windurst / Bastok / Sandoria
In the city of windhurst at Rank2 you may recive the "Mercenary Great Sword" typically this will not sell well in "Wind" since its avalible for any Rank 2 player with 2000cp(conquest points). However…
This sword is not avalible in Bastok or San’Doria. These great weapons go fast at these cities and will award you a nice sum of money for easly regenerated cp. I would not suggest selling in Jeuno, the sales are slow, and you get hit for taxes.
(can be done with other places rank 2 items)

Bastok
Requirements:
1 Character in Bastok
1 extra content ID (Or a second character in Windhurst)
1 Rarab’s Tail
3 Wild Onions (might need 4)
Preferably, this is for people in Bastok that are still in their trial period (you’ll see why in a second). Ideally, this is what happens. You make a second character in windhurst (still for free because you’re in your trial period) and you go outside and level until you get a rarab tail (shouldn’t take long). Go to Port Windhurst behind the big huge buildings (I’m sure someone has a <pos> on it) and talk to the little taru taru on top of the boxes…he’s the one you talked to in your intro to the city. He’ll go on and on about the Star Onion Brigade, and eventually he’ll ask you for a Rarab’s Tail. Trade him the rarab’s tail you found, and he’ll give a sweet necklace (I still see most people in windhurst wearing it…I’m a level 12 black mage still using it). Next, trade to him 3 wild onions, and he’ll give you a scroll of Blaze Spikes. Now, if you’re a mage in windhurst, I hihgly suggest you don’t bother with this spell….the only use for it that I see is to boost your enhance magic skills….which as a black mage don’t really need to be high (plus read the heal exploit about how to use your enhancing magic to level up the skill easily) Anyways, simply send this scroll to your character in bastok. Have them sell it for the going rate in bastok, and you’ve made yourself some easy money.
Currently in Windhurst, (Midgardsormr), the prices are as follows:
1 Blaze Spike – 2000
12 Rarab Tail – 100 (nobody selling singular ones)
1 Wild Onion – 150-200
In Bastok:
1 Blaze Spike – 2800
Now the cool thing if your character in Windhurst is just surplas is that you can delete this character and do the quest again (it requires zero fame and it’s very easy to get the items), selling the scroll in bastok again for good gil again. Be careful to spread out the scrolls, else you’ll flood the market and end up losing money
Also, to repeat this, you could just go collect a lot of Wild Onions (forget what drops them), by 1 set of 12 rarab tails, and repeat the quest a ton of times…might be a little more time consuming than some of the other fast gil strats out there, but this should be relatively consistent.

Pashow Marshlands
First method
I found by myself and I’ve never seen it mentioned on a board or camped by an ENG gamer. In fact I rarely see anyone camping the spot, just the odd JPN THF now and again. Location is north-west corner of Pashow Marshlands. There is a skinny path leading to a small field with a waterfront.
In the field spawn Leechs, a NM leech, caterpillars, crabs, and pugils. Since it rains a ton in Pashow, also lots of Water Elementals. Lastly, lots of bees on the path leading to the field.
The Leechs drops Beastmen Blood quite often, sell for about 1500-2000 gil each on the AH. I can sell a stack or two worth in a day usually too. The Leech NM drops a +HP Amulet, not 100% drop, worth about 10,000 gil. The caterpillars obviously drop silk, worth about 750 gil each. Water Elementals, also obvious, drop Water Clusters, also worth about 750 gil. This is the core of yer loot here. Both the blood and silk stack, the clusters is what fills yer inventory the fastest.
In a couple hours, -without- Lv15 THF Treasure Hunter, will usually have 22 item slots full (mainly clusters), total value of items about 35,000 gil. With Lv15 THF subbed, can make about 20,000 gil per hour. In two hours, usually get one NM spawn, which is often another 10,000, but without TH, you often won’t get the amulet drop.
Lastly, to fill the time between leech/caterpillar spawns, which isn’t very long, you can kill bees for beechips (newbie alchemist: 3 + distilled water + fire crystal = 1200 gil item), or Crab Meat from the crabs worth about 300 gil, but I don’t think they stack, and you’ll probally end up throwing away a couple clusters already as it is to make way for more blood and silk.
I find this method to be very stable and guaranteed. Method below can technically sometimes yield more gil worth, as can camping great NMs, but they are more reliant on luck. Just equip yer core defense armor and weapon. Don’t bother with accuracy boosting jewelry.
Second Method
Davoi, tier-4 orcs. They’re Easy-Decent to Lv42. Drop armor worth a couple-few thousand gil each. Not as often as Beastmen Blood and they don’t stack, but the orcs also drop up to 80-90 gil per kill too. I only recomend this if you have WHM subbed or yer a RDM. As a very well equiped DRG, one of the best offense:defense ratios in the game, I kill 2-4 of these orcs usually before I need to rest and let +800 HP regen. Too much downtime to let that heal naturally.
Personally the best way I’ve did Tier-4 orcs is with me as DRG/THF and a friend as WHM/THF. Get much better drops, and we kill atleast 3x as fast since there’s far less downtime, so it makes up for the sharing of gil.
If you want to do this solo in yer low 40s, and you either don’t have WHM to sub, or just rather sub THF, you can try Tier-3 orcs instead. 60-70 gil each but only loot worthwhile is Shaman Bulb from Cursemakers (2 = 900 gil in San quest) or Castle Plans (1 = 900 gil in San quest, but can only carry one at a time I think). However, there are two NM you can do in yer low 40s solo.
First NM is a Orc RNG named Hawkeye Dnatbat. I’ve killed him a bunch of times and every single time got an Archer Knife, worth 10,000 gil. Also drops Assassin Bow, but I’ve never got it. Since he’s a RNG, he will use Eagle Eye, hits me for about 300 damage. To find him, from entrance go left, right, left to the "bloody pool". Fighter and Cursemaker orcs, he pops of those two. He pops solo off one, but technically another orc can spawn by itself. Even with that add, low 40s melee shouldn’t have too big a problem with him. His 300 damage Eagle Eye is the only real danger.
Second NM is a little stronger, Orc DRK named Tigerbane. To find him, from entrance go right, right, right. Dead-end with lizards, he pops off them (easy to Lv42). Be careful on the lizards, they add, can petrify, and have a poison that can last long enough to take off 100-200 HP. The Orc DRK NM can drop two different 1-H axe, either the Lv26 Tigerbane Axe or Lv30 Warrior Axe, both worth around 10,000 gil. This NM is a fair bit tougher. Few levels higher than Hawkeye so he does more damage and takes longer to kill.
But the big reason he’s tough is because he uses the DRK 2-hour, basially all the damage he does heals himself. At Lv42, I killed him, but barely… his Leech Ability is really powerful, he hits at a pretty good pace with his axe and rarely misses so he’s constantly leeching back half the damage you do to him. But if yer well equiped, can defintly handle him as a melee in yer low 40s.
Summary
-Pashow Marshlands: NW corner field, Leechs, Leech NM, caterpillars, water elementals = Beastmen Blood(1500g), Blood Amulat(10,000g), Silk(750g), Water Clusters(700g).
-Davoi: Gil drops all orcs, Lv20s armor from Tier4 orcs(few K gil), San quest items from Tier3 orcs(450g or 900g), two Orc NM (spawn at dead end at either left-right-left or right-right-right) with item drops worth 10,000 gil.

Bastok
Requirements:
You MUST, MUST have 2 characters. Not 2 accounts, 2 character slots with 2 characters on the same server. Bastok only.
Step 1:
1 of your characters must have about 1k gil available. The more the better. 10k is preffered to do a smooth day-cut.
Get your high level character to Fedex 1-10k gil to your alt. To fedex the money send it through an NPC named Belizieg in front of the markets auction house
With that money, complete these quests:
The Quadav’s Curse
A Flash in the Pan
Mom, the Adventurer?
The Wisdom of the Elders
Groceries
The Bare Bones
Minesweeper
Buckets of Gold
Brygid, the stylist
A Lady’s heart.
Also, make your alt a red mage. It’ll help to do the brygid quest.
To learn how to do these quests, go to http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/db/quests.html?realm=Bastok
Doing all of these quests takes 1 or so hours. Once you do that, go to the metal works. Speak to unlucky rat, trade him slimy oil He’ll give you a warp scroll
Part 2:
Go to the AH, and put up the warp scroll for sale. It’ll sell from 10k-15k depending on the auction house.
10×10=100k. This will require 10 characters and 10 hours. It’s 2x faster with dual accounts. It may seem like a lot, but some people can’t make that much in 2 weeks.
Good luck. Remember, ALL items for the quests can be found in AH.

Sandoria
These are the best ways of making money that i have found so far in Sandoria.
1. From 1-10 one of the better ways of making money is to collect the bat wings that drop off various mobs in the ronfaur zones. For a pair of batwings you are awarded 200 gil from secodiand in Northern Sandoria. Secodiand can be found between the fountain in north sandoria and port sandoria along the main road. When you hit 7 you can venture into the tomb where there are tons of mouse bats. here you can easily make 1000 gil an hour.
2. Always get signet casted on you when you leave to hunt, collecting groups of 12 crystals sell for 400 to 2500 gil. Fire being worth the most.
3. 4 Flint Stones from worms are worth 100 gil in southern sandoria if given to legata in s sandoria in the pub.
These are 3 good ways of making some cash from 1-10.

Jungar Forest
one thing that i havent seen on a lot of forums are gilfarm strategies for higher level (30+) players. it seems the list of mentioned strategies are geared toward newbie farming. now that many of us are into the 30′s and up, i’d like to share my well profitable strategy with everyone on MS.
most people know about the black tiger fang quest in sandoria and that jugner is perhaps the easiest place to solo the tigers to get these fangs. well in addition to this, there are a few mobs which i have found are rarely camped, and score some profitable gil. these prices reflect midgardsormr prices. check ur ah for differences.
thf/rng is recommended for faster results but not required.
1. at (L-7) in jugner, there is a spine on the other side of the spore hollow, there are 2 continiuing spawns of boggarts here. these boggarts which can be solo’d for me easily at 35 usually drop scrolls of regen. these easily go for 4-8k depending on ur server. i’ve gotten 1 out of 2 continuously.
2. the black tiger fang quest. with ranger at level 1, you can widescan these kitties to hell.
3. walking trees, again.. ranger is recommended. the beauty about these trees is that they spawn in a general area. they always spawn one right after the other- around J-6 and J-7 and drop puffballs (1-2k), mistletoe (3-5k), and dryad roots (600-1k each).
4. saplings.. yeah they are a bore, but i’ve found that herb seeds drop more easily off of these. sell a stack for 6k.
5. also look out for the panzer NM at J-5, soloable easly at 35. a neckchopper from them can yield 35k.
these 5 strats have given me some crazy gil… hope you use them!
