As summerfest is going on, I’ve noticed u get sent to certain High Level dungeons to find goalpoints with a level down effect, and almost indefinite sneak + invis.

Now If you manage to figure out a way to get sent to Ifrit’s Cauldron your in luck. You and your partner can keep going back, search the whole zone for mining points, uninvis mine, and die, be back in town, and get sent back for another round. With no risk you can reap the rewards of mining in a uber high level zone, and make a killing.

I have found the Answer. First i want to give credit to Vane for a good start however using his strat got me killed 3 times until i figured out the Solution. Now its really easy!!!! Heres how it goes………..

Rule #1…….NEVER USE HI-ETHERS………….The cast time is way too long(30 secs or somthing like that) the Avatar will be smacking you silly while your trying to use it. USE Ethers along with Melon Juice OR Yagudo Drinks!!
Rule #2…….MACRO EVERYTHING……………Your not going to have time to be bringing up your items menu to use a Hi-Potion or an Ether. For example macro…./item "Hi-Potion" <me> (make sure you add the hyphen between Hi and Potion) and /item "Ether" <me> and same with all of the other items you will be using yagudo drink melon juice ect.
Rule #3……..Sub WHM…………………………….Dont ask why JUST DO IT!!!!!
Rule #4……..Use Hermits Wand………………..Spell interruption rate down 25%!!! This is also a must
Rule #5……..Max out Summoning Skill………..At lvl 20 it maxes out at 63(level x 2 + 3 = Max)

Ok here is a list of items you will need for each fight
1. 5 Hi-Potions……You wont need 5 but bring them anyways you never know when 3 searing lights doesnt do the trick!!!
2. 3 Ethers…………Again i stress Do not use Hi Ethers for reasons i stated above!!
3. 2 Melon juices…This is just a precautionary measure you may not need them!! Ill explain later
4. 1 Yagudo drink..This is a Must!!!! Restores 2mp every 3 seconds for 180 seconds!! Good Stuff!!
5. 1 Boiled Crayfish.Gives a 22% Boost to defense

Heres the Strat>>>(by the way this is for the 20 solo Avatars…if you havnt figured that out by now then God help you :P)
Before each fight Get the highest lvl Protect and Shell that you can round up. I prefer finding High lvl Rdm’s because they can cast Protect 3 and Shell 3 AND REFRESH which will help you in the Beginning of the fight. If you cant find 1 then do what you can..
Ok trade the mini-fork to the Npc you will be teleported to a Photocrystal. B4 you trade the fork to the Crystal Eat the Boiled Crab(+22% defense) and Cast Aquaviel. Then Trade the Mini-Fork to the Crystal! you will enter the Battlefield!
You will start out at the Bottom of a Ramp by a Photocrystal. Run up the Ram until it Curves to the right.STOP!!! cast Carbuncle Then immediatley use a Yagudo drink!! Then your ready to run up to the top and meet the Avatar!!! Have Carby Attack (Ramuh will paralyze you so have Paralyna macroed) Stay close to the Avatar and use Astral Flow then Searing Light (as soon as you command Searing Light you will Gain Aggro so you must stay close to the Avatar cuz if your too far away then the Avatar will go out of carby’s range Thus a Wasted Searing light)!! Sear should do about 210 damage!!! Now your mp will now be empty from the Sear but dont be afraid Carby wont disappear cuz the Yagudo drink will keep him from releasing!! Carby’s health will now be about 50% so run down the Ramp to the Bend when you first casted Carby then use a Hi-Potion(if necessary) and an Ether!!! As soon as you see Carby’s health disappear immediately cast him again!!!
Have carby attack again and Make sure your Mp is ABOVE 45 otherwise youll waste the Searing Light. Soon as it Makes it above 45 Sear the Avatar Again!!! (remember to stay close to the Avatar when Searing) At this point Carby’s health will be at 50% so run down to the Bottom of the Ramp where you first started by the Crystal. If Carby gets annhialated by the Avatars 2hr then this is where your going to count on that Hermits Wand and Aquaviel(Avatar does not always do 2 hr i defeated Ramuh and Shiva and they didnt even do it) As soon as Carby dies Recast him again!! Attack and use Hi-Potion(if necessary) and Ether(remember MP must be above 45) if so Sear for the 3rd time…Now this should kill the Avatar.. But sometimes it doesnt This is where the Melon Juice comes into play becuase if 3 Searing lights dont kill it then Carby will have to do the rest by Himself(which he is fully capable of i asure you) but youll need to keep you mana up!! i use melon juices here instead of Yagudo drinks cuz they much less xpensive on my server (Asura).

Always remember Rule #2 MACRO EVERYTHING…. It will save your Arse i garauntee it..

You will now be givin a scroll to warp home with your new pet!! I suggest you torture your new Avatar for Awhile just for making your life miserable and costing you so much money!! At least thats what i do LOL :P

P.S. Shiva and Garuda have some sort of damage Absorber in the Beginning of the fight so i would suggest letting them kill the first 2 Carbs then Begin the Strat on the 3rd one(use melon juices in the beginnings to keep up mana)
Some of you out there can beat these Avatars in like 15 seconds j/k but for those of you like me who have tried the Strats and died THEN THIS IS YOUR ANSWER I GARAUNTEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again to Vane for the start i only tweaked a couple things but it made all the differance in the World…………………………….PEACE OUT MY PEEPS!!! KICK ASS!!!!!!!!

Good exp here you will find alot of groups at Qufim Island… you need to get to Jeuno at level 20 if your not already there.. At the bottom of port jeuno is Qufim Island here is what you do

you will need a full group for this

WHM, BLM, 3 Bashers(1 thief), RDM

Do’s:
-Goto Qufim Island and only fight Worms nothing else, everything else will kill you or give you bad exp
-If you don’t have a map it is relatively easy to find the pond just head straight out of the canyon and you will run into another canyon follow that to the pond
- The pond will be loaded with worms and clippers watch out worms are aggro don’t take one more than 1 at a time
- Good skill chains are Liquification and Fusion
- Make sure to cast signet^^

Don’ts:
-Don’t get close to the following monsters Giants, Wights, Banshees, Acro(leech looking dus), and Dancing weapons. If you get near they monsters they will all kill you really fast.
-Don’t goto the pond during 20:00 - 4:00 during that time is night time and you will surely die..
-Stay in the pond area during the day because there are random spawns that will own you..

good luck

Quick Level Your MNK From 1 To 15 (Gil FFXI)

Hi everyone, I recently leveled my MNK to 15 so as to accompany my level 25 WAR and found it really easy!

First time of posting a tutorial on here so I hope it can be of some use.

What you are going to need
-Some starting gill (About 8000)
-Cesti and Ryl. Footman Cesti
-Level 1 and level 8 armour sets for MNK (The robe set, and the Kenpogi set)

What you will need with your starting Gill
The level 1 and level 8 MNK armour sets.
AND: I STRONGLY suggest you go out and buy 2 stacks of Meat Mithkabobs
and around 5 Pear Au Laits(The more the better but only buy what you can afford, the meat mithkabobs are most important)

Level 1 to 3
Ok for these levels you will be needing a CESTI and the Level 1 MNK armour set.

Once you have equipped all of these head out to SOUTH GUSTABERG.
Once here, kill Tunnel Worms and Huge Wasps until level 3, this shouldnt take too long at all.

Level 3 to 6
Ok, now you are level 3 head to the hill just outside and a little to the left of the SOUTH GUSTABERG entrance. Here you can fight Stone Eaters and Maneating hornets.
Stay away from Gobs as they agro and they WILL kill you at level 3 to 4.

Level 6 to 8
Time for the fast leveling to begin!
Grab your level 8 gear from your mog house and head out to NORTH GUSTABERG(The second entrance). Keep going until you reach the bridge, once there you will see Quadavs, Lizards and Walking Saplings.
Use one of your Mithkabobs and a Pear Au Lait if you have one and head into battle with these.
Once your mithkabob or pear au lait runs out use another and continue to battle.
There will be no need to stop for healing as the Pear Au Lait has REGEN effect!
You should be getting around 72 to 100 experience per battle here until level 8.

Level 8 to 12
Ok, now your level 8 equip your new armour and you now have a choice.
You can either stay here and continue to kill Quadavs and Lizards, which will give you around 50 experience until you hit aorund level 9 then about 36 until level 10.
(Now equip your Ryl Footman Cesti)
OR you can move into Konschat Highlands and kill the Strolling saplings there which should be Even Matches or Decent challenges.
Remember to use your Mithkabobs and Pear Au Laits when needed as you WILL need them.
You should get to level 12 in no time at all, as again you should be getting about 100 exp per battle.

Level 12 to 15
Ok the final stretch, you can go back to Bastok and get some new armour if you wish but it is not entirely necessary.
Now once your are prepared head off to Valkurm Dunes and grab youself a party!

I suggest you start on the lizards until level 13. Then get your party to head off to the beach near Selbina and take camp there.
There you can fight snippers and some gobs, but DO NOT get Goblin Leechers or Gamblers!

Also if you can manage it try and get yourself a power leveler, this will make your leveling ALOT easier. But it is not essential.

And there you have it, easy leveling from 1 to 15 MNK.

Hope you enjoyed it and I hope it works for you!

I managed to get from level 1 to 9 in a day(school day) and then 9 to 15 the next(from 1PM to 10PM hehe)

Thanks, ~HitmanTG!

Requires: LV 34 Samurai

I am sure most Lv 30 and up players konw what a skill chain is.
If you are tring to take down a tough(I mean generally tough) mob quick and safe,
this is a very powerful skill chain you can use. with more samurais the more powerful it is:

Solo play:
1. Before fighting, have at least 100TP ready, 300 is the best.
2. When the battel starts, use your WS Tachi: Enpi (Great Katana skill LV 10) or Tachi: Goten (GK skill LV 70)
3. Use job ablility Meditate(Samurai job LV 30), regains TP back to 100.
4. Wait 2-3 sec (earth time), use WS Tachi: Kagero (GK skill LV 100)
5. Use your 2 hr job Ability, TP regains to 300, and can be breaked to 100 to use three times.
6. Wait 2-3 sec, use WS Tachi: Goten (GL skill LV 70) or Tachi: Enpi.
7. Wait 4 sec, use WS Tachi: Kagero.
8. Wait 4 sec, use WS Tachi: Enpi or Tachi: Goten.
9. If you have a Black Mage for sub, Use any Fire magic for the ending Magic Burst.

After the Magic burst, you’ve made a 6 chain-Skill Chain, and sooner you’ll be able to use your Job ability Mediate to regain TP for WS again.
If you are soloing a Tough mob, 80% or more of its HP should be taken away, if it’s weak on Fire element.

PT play( IT Monster killer):

When you are in Team, discuess about Skill chain with team members first; the Samurai’s WS can connect or be connected with other WS in order to make a more powerful skill chains(It’s best to start with Samurai becasue after other team mates are done with their WS, most likely the Samurai will be able to use Meditation again for another WS).

A well cooperated six member Samurai team can make a 36 (or more) chain-Skill Chain. It is powerful enough to take down a small Boss monster within 3 mins.

Please Note that as of right now this strategy has ONLY been confirmed to work on Maze Makers in the Maze of Shakrami So until it is confirmed on other worms besides those, you are taking that risk by trying it on them.

This just added: Make sure your bait vokes BEFORE anyone else starts attacking The Voker doesn’t have to be out of range before you start attacking, she/he just has to cast it before you start attacking, you can be attacking while the voker is running out of range. This may or may not effect the outcome, but i’m just putting it in so that you’re on the safe side in case it actually does effect the outcome of this strategy. Our voker was doing so before we started attacking for the record.

Thread Ratings: Some people search for strats by thread ratings, and this is a very good working strategy, so do everyone a favor and before you actually rate this topic, try this strategy for yourself first. Ratings cannot be undone, and therefore those of you who rate it low before trying the strategy, and then later find out it actually works, cannot undo this action–therefore for those who search based on ratings, you are making a perfectly good strategy hard for them to find. That is very rude not only to those who would like to use this strategy, but to myself who took the time to bring you this strategy.

Well I noticed they nerfed the RNG bug where you could kill it outside of the range of the monste’s casting (worms) well here is yet ANOTHER worm strategy for those of you who like to party and don’t like to die ;) Well, this little trick I learned earlier today and it simply rocks so I want to see it become common place in parties so I don’t have to explain it every time I get into one. This is what you do, you want to asign one person with provoke to be the "bait" as we’ll call it for this strategy. What the bait’s job is, is to provoke the worm and then run out of its casting range. What is everyone else’s job you might ask? Well the same as always, KILL THE THING! Now the bait stands outside the range of the worm until it gets provoke back, then he runs back into range and re-provokes then runs out of range yet again. He does this until the rest of the party has killed the worm. Now if done right (as was done right in our party) the worm will keep trying to attack the bait and ignore the rest of the party which should be wailing on it. We did this the other night and the only time we had to heal was when the bait got stoneaga cast on him before he got out of range. You’ll naturally want someone who can cure your "bait" in case something happens like he gets bound before getting away, or gets cast on before getting away. If you can’t perfect the timing then set 2 baits that will change up their provokes. In other words 1 person provokes and runs out of range and then about 15 seconds later the backup bait provokes and runs out of range while the first person who provoked runs back up to the worm and starts attacking. Give it a try with a PT sometime and see if you can get it to work as beautifully as it did for us. This is mainly for those of you who do not know about this strategy, I didn’t till today, but for those of you who already know it then I guess it is nothing new.

——-
Guide to what may cause you to heal
——-

I’ll list the things that are the ONLY reason to cause you to have to heal at all, my WHM seriously got some time off in this last PT cuz of this strategy.

1. Your bait gets bound before it gets out of range, therefore someone with heal has to keep the bait alive (and the rest of the party if its in range of stonega) this doesn’t happen very often but when it does, don’t panic as it will rarely get you killed as long as someone is there to heal anyone who gets hit with stone spells.

2. Your bait gets hit with a stone spell while fleeing (the stonega spells will naturally also hit anyone the bait ran near) so you’ll want to heal if this happens.

3. Your bait didn’t time it right and the worm got in a few shots before the next provoke was done. (this does not happen often either but make sure your bait isn’t wasting any time between ability to use provoke)

This was proven on Maze Makers, but i’m not sure if it will work on higher level worms, but its worth a shot at least. I don’t see why not though. Oh yeah, and by rule of common sense, this won’t work in ANY party (contrary to the title of this thread), you obviously have to have someone who can provoke, and the rest of the party has to be able to do enough damage to actually kill the worm, and if your levels are vastly different you’re exp will obviously suck. You also want a healer just in case the off chance your bait or anyone else gets hit with those annoying stonega spells.

I’m not sure if this has been posted already, but it works, I’ve even done it with a TaruTaru Bard (not supposed to solo long). I was soloing with him at lvl 18 still. Here is the strat

Meat Mithkabob (food)
Pear au Lait (food - regen)

By using both of these, you are doing great damage to the monster and your keeping your HP up by 3 hp per 3 seconds. You can chain toughs solo and never have to rest. :)

It’s also a good thing to keep the best equipment at all times, you won’t need it long, and you can sell whatever items you use (sans the food) back for the exact price you paid for them. So get a Wax Sword +1 and any other awesome equipment that you can use. ;)
